Job summary
The Heart Centre at University Hospital of North Midlands is a tertiary centre delivering high quality cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery to the population of Staffordshire, Shropshire, East Cheshire and North Wales.
The level of activity within our centre continues to grow year on year and we are proud to be undertaking exciting programmes such as TAVI, atrial appendage occlusion and MICAB (minimally invasive coronary artery bypass).
We provide a 24 hour primary PCI service with our own dedicated emergency portal via a 13 bedded coronary care unit providing invasive and non-invasive care for patients with acute coronary syndromes and life threatening arrhythmias.
Co-located to this are our inpatient beds which provide state of the art real time cardiac monitoring.
Main duties of the job
We currently have a vacancy providing an exciting opportunity for a band 5 registered nurse to join the team within the Heart Centre Centre Catheter Laboratories. You will participate in innovative evidence based nursing practice delivering the highest standards of care to our patients. We are a proactive in developing the specialist skills required to deliver our services, recognising that investment in and training of individuals is crucial to delivering safe, high quality patient care.
QUALIFICATION

- Registered Nurse on NMC register
- Diploma in Nursing
- Evidence of degree level study in health/nursing studies

- Recognised qualification in teaching and assessing
