We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification to join the Renal Post Transplant Team to care for a growing post renal transplant population of 850+ patients.

Main duties of the job
This is an interesting and varied role that will provide a good leadership development opportunity for the right candidate. The ideal candidate would have some renal experience and be able to transfer skills into this specialised role caring for renal patients that have received a kidney transplant.
You will be expected to provide a high standard of care to this complex patient group, by supporting them at their outpatient visits.You will have a role in educating and supporting both patients and significant others with regards to the patient journey and with the ultimate aim of enhancing and maintaining quality of life.
You will possess or working towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent the job is both exciting and challenging whereteam work is essential and initiative is paramount. excellent communication, confidence and compassion are essential along with interpersonal and IT skills.
Salford Royal is a tertiary centre for Renal patients. Serving Greater Manchester with inpatient, outpatient and in-centre haemodialysis. - Experience of working as a Care Support Worker or equivalent in a Health or Social care setting
- Experience of working within a team

Qualifications

- NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or a Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship – or equivalent experience
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)
