Job summary
An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available to be an integral part of the Hotel services team in the role of a Senior Domestic Supervisor. This is an amazing opportunity to be involved in the management of the domestic and linen room staff. Working to support and manage the supervisory team, and liaising with the management team and other departments on a daily basis. The position is 37.5 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday, although flexibility is essential.

Job responsibilities
- The post holder will be responsible for the day to day supervision of Domestic Supervisors under their control. This is to include cleaning methods and frequencies, standards, discipline and general staff welfare, allocate overtime.
- To ensure highest standard of cleanliness is achieved to comply with national standards
- Responsible for the daily allocation of work to Domestic Supervisors Job Evaluation.
- Good understanding of and ensure implementation of Trust polices and procedures within the department.
- Organise staff rotas, public holiday cover and authorisation of annual leave for Domestic Supervisors (via Allocate).
- Ensure staff appraisals are up to date.
- Record keeping and data input using Trust electronic
- To provide direct support to the Senior Hotel Services Managers, including (out of hours) to deputise in her/his absence as necessary over the full range of duties.
- Support the delivery of quality Hotel Services in the trust
- Ensure Trust audit standards are achieved and maintained in line with national guidelines and service level agreements.
Qualifications & Education
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Supervisory/Basic Management Skills and additional knowledge acquired through training and experience to diploma or equivalent level
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy

- previous experience in the cleaning industry

- Knowledge of technical aspects of the job e.g. machinery, cleaning materials, products and processes.
