Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the triage and assessment team to come and join at a time when we are evolving. We are looking fro a Registered Mental Health Practitioner to join our team.
The role will include completing assessments with clients with a range of mental health issues, ensuring clients receive the most appropriate assessment of their needs and on-going referral to treatment/support services. A sound knowledge base of services available locally is a must.
Your team base will be at St Andrews Place, Hull, and cover Hull and East Riding. You will be part of a supportive team of staff and will have the opportunity to gain skills and experience in the triage and assessment of clients.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic staff member to join our team with a professional and caring attitude who is agile and able to travel within the geographical area in which the service covers.
A Hybrid working approach is required for this role.

Experience
Essential
- Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in mental health/learning disability clinical practice areasle to demonstrate effective inter-personal/communication skills
- Understanding of caseload management responsibilities
Desirable
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at specialist level of careEvidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation
- Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer
- Act as Care Programme Approach (CPA) co-ordinator
Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- Part III or 13 of NMC live register
- Willingness to undertake mentorship training and responsibilities
- A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area
- Standard IT skills
Desirable
- Be on the live register for mentors
- Demonstrable experience of mentoring pre-registration students
- Full understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area.
- Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
